1. What is the system recommendation to use Dah Sing e-banking Service?

We have the following recommendation:

  • A computer with Internet connection
  • Microsoft Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 / XP (except Windows Vista)
  • Recommend to use Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher or Netscape 6.2.3 (with Java Runtime Environment v1.4.2_08 installed)
  • This site is best viewed at 800 x 600 screen resolution. (If view with screen resolution lower than 800 x 600, vertical and horizontal scroll bars may need to be used).

 
2. Must I have Java Virtual Machine installed before using Dah Sing e-banking Service?

Yes.

If you use Internet Exporer in Windows XP, you are required to install Java Virtual Machine before using the service (Java Virtual Machine can be downloaded from http://www.java.com).

 
3. Must I have Cookies / Javascript enabled on my Internet browser?

Yes.

The procedures for enabling Cookies / Javascript may vary among different browsers. Please kindly refer to "Help" function of your Internet browsers.

 
4. I am using the recommended browser but still have problems in retrieving some of your pages. What should I do?
You should check your modem settings or your connection to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you are still experiencing slow transmission, you may call our Customer Service Hotline during office hours for assistance.
 
5. What should I do if I do not get a response after clicking a hyperlink or icon?
Please check your modem settings or the connection to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Besides, it may be due to heavy internet traffic hours, quality of telephone line, speed and quality of modem, server capacity etc. A minimum modem speed of 56K is recommended. If you encounter slow or no response at our site, please check if there is a similar problem at another site; or you can contact us and give us all the particular of the incidents.
 
6. Will my instruction be proceeded if my computer crashes or my Internet access disconnects halfway?
For a successful transaction, a reference number (for financial transactions) / confirmation wordings (for non-financial request) will be shown on screen. If needed, you may contact our Customer Service Hotline during office hours for assistance. (Credit Card Service: 2828-8002 / Bank Account Service: 2828-8000).
   
7. Why this security warning dialog box appears when I open the Dah Sing e-banking login page?
Generally speaking, the security warning dialog box will appear if your PC is running one of the following:
  • Java Plug-in 1.4x or 1.3x
  • Java Web Start 1.4.2

    If you do not want the dialog box to prompt again, please select "Always" button or you may click here to download the latest version of SUN Java software.

    Before enter User ID and Password or important personal information, you should always make sure you are connecting with Dah Sing Bank by looking for the closed security padlock at the bottom right hand corner of your Web browser. A closed security padlock indicates a secure connection. Clicking on the closed padlock will show the certificate information that should contain the bank's details. Click here for details.
